WHAT WERE THE STRENGTHS OF THIS COURSE? WHAT DID YOU VALUE MOST?
| The speakers were first rate for the most part. State to State was great – I am not alone – liked the technology and last day – values and ethics. | |
| Excellent! | |
| Great job, very well organized, burp! | |
| Enjoyed the variety of topics and grouping of topics. Field trips were especially worthwhile. Strength is networking opportunities with other. Food very good!! | |
| It could have taken me years to learn what I did here in 5 days. Suzanne, Jennifer, Thank you! I hope to be back someday. | |
| Information provided by other states. | |
| This course was so interesting and inspiring. I really enjoyed all the speakers and talking with others who do what I do. The speakers, teleconference and field trips were fantastic. I’m so happy to have come to your course. | |
| The thought and planning you folks put into it. | |
| Great job by everyone at PREP and committee. Thanks to all those who presented as well as those who helped on the field trip. | |
| The different state perspectives. | |
| Very useful presentation, great field trip. It was good to interact with other states and EPA on a casual basis. This is perhaps the best course of any type I have attended. Well done! | |
| Great interaction with the other participants. | |
| Meeting and interfacing with people from other states. | |
| Biotechnology presentation, trip to Napa Valley, Father Miles’ presentation, Roger Schmidt’s presentation. | |
| The biotech was a little too technical. Great presenters and course info. Wish we could have done more field events. | |
| Jake, have a great retirement and thank you for making the PREP courses so successful. | |
| I found the entire course to be informative and was able to learn something from each presentation. Making contacts with others involved in pesticide regulation is extremely valuable. However the real strength of the course lies with those who pull it together. Securing competent speakers, arranging field trips and seeing to everyone’s creature comforts is no easy task. I have never seen it done better. Thanks for a very enjoyable and informative course. |
HOW COULD THIS COURSE BE IMPROVED?
| The course is great but I would like the states to have more time to tell their story. "Information Technology" by Faust Gorham was outstanding. | |
| Lose the cow bell!! Just start program when breaks are over – participants will be on time… no need to coral adults (personal responsibility). | |
| It couldn’t. | |
| Needs no improvement. | |
| Shorter days. | |
| Move it to different states. | |
| The course was very good as is. I can’t really offer any suggestions. |
HOW WILL YOU APPLY WHAT YOU LEARNED?
| Many aspects of presentation & systems can be utilized in our agency. | |
| Apply to day to day operations. | |
| Try to recommend changes to Albany. | |
| It’s hard to pinpoint specific ideas or concepts that I may be able to apply to our regulatory programs. However I do feel that the information provided by Lee Casaleggio and Father Riley can be helpful when evaluating both personal and personnel issues. |
OTHER COURSES/TOPIC YOU'D LIKE TO SEE US OFFER?
| Structural workshop. | |
| Training new inspectors, sampling techniques. | |
| A presentation on just how the EPA determines what is enforceable label language would be interesting. |
