COMMENTS
| Above are based on general nature of course - although few presentations were specific, I enjoyed the learning - I enjoyed learning about SLA/EPA interactions and hearing what other regulators do - all presenters were top notch. | |
| Would recommend four-day course instead of five. Cut non-traditional impacts and field trip to shorten the course. | |
| Thank you for an enjoyable course. | |
| Great course. I was very impressed. | |
| Great course as usual. | |
| Great job by Suzanne and staff. Thank you! | |
| Very well organized, great job to John Ward, Suzanne Forsyth and other staff. | |
| The only complaint - and it was a recurrent one - is that the meeting room is horribly cold. There has to be some way to keep us from being so uncomfortable - we shouldn't need to pack winter clothes to come to California in July. As usual the food was wonderful - I would like to put in a request for fruit/vegetable at the breaks. The presentations on Thursday afternoon could have been shortened or scheduled elsewhere - we really could have been done at lunch. |
| The course was very helpful for me. It was a good overview of the many issues under FIFRA. Hope to be back again. | |
| Very interesting selection of topics. Breakout sessions with smaller groups (as we had at the registration PREP) would have allowed extraction of info from some of the quiet people. But this would have been at the expense of the number of topics covered. | |
| This was great! Would like to attend the Compliance Training PREP! | |
| First class from start to finish - lunches were excellent - UCD staff very helpful and professional. | |
| Top-rate as usual! Haven't attended a bad PREP course yet! Great courses, speakers, companionship, food, etc. | |
| John, Jim, Suzanne, and others did a great job as hosts. Thank you to all. | |
| Please continue this course. Consider using state participants as faculty to diversify issues and share experiences - this could expand the time spent on group discussions (which is time well spent) and state presentations (which are great)! Using states to present might also help planning committees fill the faculty bench. Nice job to Jennifer, Suzanne, and rest of the staff! | |
| Intense but well worth it! Terrific selection of speakers. Father Miles, the best! | |
| Thanks to the staff, everything went well. |
WHAT WERE THE STRENGTHS OF THIS COURSE? WHAT DID YOU VALUE MOST?
| Great presenters, well organized, great group of participants, great food and hotel site. | |
| The people were great. | |
| Good speakers, attendees - good discussion. | |
| Good sessions - appreciate the chance to meet and speak with other regulators/managers. | |
| All the great speakers and great organization of the meeting. | |
| Father Miles, Newcastle disease, and Biotech. | |
| Discussion sessions, state presentations, overall interaction between speakers and class. | |
| Miles O'Brien Riley - what an excellent speaker and addition to the course. | |
| Great overviews in key areas. | |
| Interaction with others with similar interests but different opinions. | |
| Almost too much to absorb but supporting course materials couldn't have been better. Thanks for everything! |
HOW COULD THIS COURSE BE IMPROVED?
| Hear more about solutions to problems and more on state solutions to the problem instead of the California solution. | |
| Fewer topics - more time for discussion. | |
| Visit Tahoe!! | |
| Less California-based. More diversity among speakers and sessions. | |
| Keep coming up with new topics and following current trends. | |
| Warming up the rooms. |
HOW WILL THIS COURSE HELP YOU IN YOUR JOB/CAREER?
| Event organizers - awesome. The individual presentations were the best - great learning for me. | |
| Better informed on programs I don't deal much with and an update on programs I work with. | |
| A wealth of pesticide related material. | |
| It did introduce me to items new to me that I will have to address. | |
| It certainly gives you a better understanding of all the issues across the nation. | |
| New contacts, examine issues with additional viewpoints. | |
| Ideas for further development of my program. | |
| Knowledge of the subjects. | |
| In every way, excellent! |
OTHER COURSES/TOPICS YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE US OFFER?
| Exam development process, training for recertification, ADA stuff, proctoring, examination security, that kind of stuff. | |
| Would like to hear more about CTAG and dealing with enforcement issues. | |
| PREP steering should consider shorter more focused courses (IPM, Biotech, Aquatic, Labs, etc.) | |
| Would like to see more opportunities like this for my staff (PIRT courses). Leadership PREP courses. | |
| Definitely bring back water quality. |
