Structural Issues

Overall Course Evaluation

Austin, Texas

June 2-5, 2003

bulletThis course has exceeded all expectations. Many of the presentations were the best I’ve ever seen. The expertise of the instructors was 1st rate. The interaction between participants that was fostered by the speakers led to actual identification of steps toward policy formation and problem solving. In several cases, unanimous or broad consensus feedback to EPA on specific issues was achieved. Imagine a PREP course where participants actually learn, synthesize and formulate solutions. It has happened here in Texas! Well done Frank/Dale….Well done!
bulletI felt all issues were excellent, except the state roundtables, which did not seem to clearly pertain to structural issues. For future topics: label enforcement interpretation, EPA interpretation vs. state regulatory vs. applicator interpretation of label requirements.
bulletGood PREP. Very good and well prepared presentation. Good discussion.
bulletProductive networking.
bulletDo it again!
bulletThe Texas Structural Pest Board and EPA deserve a big A+ for providing this PREP between the hospitality, professionalism, location, and the folks like Frank, John Ward, Dale, Barbara, Carl you got a winner.
bulletGod Bless Texas! Thank you, thank you. It was fun; it was rich in knowledge and information.
bulletYou must have this course again! I know it would be three years in a row for one PREP topic, but this course makes a difference.
bulletTopics were great, and well received by all participants. (all comments were good that I heard). Think the structural arena is one that constantly changes and if its into an annual training schedule. In other words, do it again!! Speakers overall were great as well. Only possible changes looking back, would be to let participants stay at or near the field trip (lots of folks would have liked to stay at the Alamo) for some entertaining, etc. Thought the range of topics was great. (I wouldn’t have minded more termites) Really liked the roundtables….I could go on and on. Enjoyed it thoroughly!!
bulletThis is a very good course. I think it should be continued. Perhaps more round tables, more hands on type of instruction. Regulators with actual experience are becoming fewer. We really need to know what it is like to do these things.
bulletExcellent. You folks did great…we should have more instructional preps like this one. What about a PREP on WDO Inspections?
bulletI would like to see a WDO Report topic that would address different requirements. I would also like to know more about licensing categories in different states.
bulletReally prefer 4-day course (8-5) to a 5 day course (8:30-4:30).
bulletThis is an excellent training forum. Great info, presentations. I feel this is invaluable training and info discrimination and truly hope it continues as an annual PREP! Thanks.
bulletGood topics and speakers utilized. Maybe not so much "classroom time" allowing lunch in another area or on own. Include in homework….attendees provide copies of electronic versions of forms including their forms and those required for industry to use. Would suggest maybe a C&T PREP like Don Renchie talked about and relating it back to results in enforcement. Frank, Carl, John, etc. you did a great job!
bulletFor future PREP: maybe rotate with concentration on termite every other course. Topic…examples of label "slippage" in terms of structural. Products and common problems interpreting. Structural issues need to continue.
bulletOverall, this was an excellent course. It was very informative with great discussion. Gave me lots of things to take home to discuss with my agency. Most of all great people, excellent contacts for helping more my understanding and implementation of our programs forward.
bulletOther PREPs….Lawn Care Issues PREP. Lawn care only.
