Pesticides & Public HealthSeptember 19-23, 2004 This pilot course will bring together a wide variety of public health-related issues that impact pesticide regulators: West Nile Virus (and other vector-borne diseases), molds, anthrax, SARS, Norwalk virus, asthma-cockroach allergens, antimicrobial efficacy, head lice, tick-borne diseases, etc. This course will also adopt a team-based attendance goal with State Pesticide Agency and State Public Health Agency representatives (or Tribal equivalent) attending together. A desired outcome will be a better understanding by both team members of the overall public health implications of these problem areas. |
