This pilot is intended for State/Tribal managers of compliance programs. Central to this year’s course will be implementation of both State and EPA regulations for Container/Containment programs. This session should improve the overall understanding of the Rule by State/Tribal managers and the technical and structural issues related to containment. Compliance technology will also be covered, focusing on the sharing of hi-tech innovations (current and future) being used and considered by regulatory agencies. The course will emphasize hands-on exposure to a wide variety of containment facilities and equipment, and development of training materials for inspectors and dealers. We intend for this course to be heavily attended by States that do not have containment regulations but we will also encourage participation by States with containment experience to help guide the discussions.
